About

Grant Johnson

Grant Johnson is a Technical Sound Designer based in Los Angeles, with a background in music production, recording, and live session engineering.

He began his career in the music industry, working with studios such as Church House Studios, Daytrotter, and Good Danny's — recording, mixing, and mastering over 200 sessions for artists including Ed Sheeran, Coheed and Cambria, and Mac DeMarco.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Grant transitioned into game development, returning to school to study game design and focusing on interactive audio systems. He later worked at Everi, contributing to audio implementation and development for gaming experiences.

Today, his work sits at the intersection of sound design and systems design — building immersive, responsive audio experiences through tools like Unity and FMOD.
